"My clients are prominent, affluent people. They win all day. They want to lose once." "It's gotten way popular," Mistress Nadine observes. "There's a site called maxfisch.com, and every day a new dom who's put up a Web site is added. Of course, there are doms out there in Kansas with a ping-pong table and a pair of leather shorts who cobble together a MySpace page. More power to them, but it's not as easy as it looks." No way, emphasizes Domme Dietrich. "It's as diverse as if you were to go to a psychiatrist. Everybody has different limits and . . . there are safe words like 'mercy,' so you want to push people but you also want to be respectful so it's not abuse." Elaborates M. Nadine candidly, "There's a catharsis. You start out slow. You don't know how much he can take. And then you start getting harder and harder and the welts rise. There's always a condom on. There's disinfectant, there's a whole procedure, there's some clients who would bring their own toys and...
